Love in the Sacred Garden

This week we are looking at the Fruit of the Spirit, in the Sacred Garden. The first is Love, and these 3 quotes and passages were contemplated upon.

Love is the most universal, the most tremendous and the most mystical of cosmic forces. Love is the primal and universal psychic energy. Love is the sacred reserve of energy. It is like the blood of spiritual evolution.

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is born of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God-for God is love. God showed how much he loved us by sending His only son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love, it is not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No-one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us and his love has been brought to full expression through us. And God has given us His Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.

1 John 4 v 7-13 NLT

Your tsk is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

Rumi

Do you have a favourite passage or quote on Love? I would love to hear it.

Tomorrow we are looking at Joy.

I hope you will come back and read my thoughts on that too.

Blessings and Joy, Joy x

  1. Love: I Corinthians 13 The whole verse let’s you know it has no boundaries when it comes from God. The word has been overworked until it now has lost its sacred definition. Let us re-unite with the Biblical definition, so we can be in the right path. jjn 8/10/2020

    • Definitely Janis. This is the classic passage on love. The words I read in the Sacred Garden today were the words I had at my wedding. Very personal to me and my husband. Bless you for taking the time to share. Blessings and Joy, Joy
